Welcome!
Hey there! Welcome to Redefining School. If you're here, you're probably a homeschool mom, like me! Redefining school was created to help homeschool parents outsource their literature and writing options for their middle and high school aged kiddos. I often get asked if I offer help for elementary aged children and my answer is NOPE! I'd love to, but my sweet spot is middle and high school.
A little about me: I'm a Christian, a wife, homeschooler, mom of 3 ever growing boys, book lover, beach lover, and writer. I've been in education for just about 25 years and man have my philosophies evolved over the past 10 of those. I've taught in public schools, private schools, charter schools, virtual schools, and now am so very blessed to be able to be home teaching my own children. I also love to research everything middle school- how their brains work, how they are developing at this stage, and how best to serve them in an educational setting. I love middle school and high school so much that I have spent years in this particular area. On a professional note, I have a BA from Adrian College, an MS from Florida State, and an Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. I'm also a certified teacher in 14 states and counting.
