Middle School Literature Survey

The middle school literature survey is a fun and interactive membership experience. Students are introduced to several literary giants, dozens of literary genres and time periods, and several literary devices and writing strategies. Our middle school literature survey delivers lessons in a gentle and engaging way which allows families to work at their own pace (within an overall framework). Students meet with other students around the globe in our live classes to discuss the monthly mentor text and share their work, and in asynchronous video discussions. They test their knowledge with interactive games, and they work on lessons complete with video tutorials. Lessons are delivered via a monthly drop and your child can choose to work on the lesson on their own or add in the interactive portions for a full experience.

The middle school literature survey is a monthly subscription program that rotates each year. So, each year, your child will get a completely new experience with new authors, new texts and new concepts.  You can choose from World Literature or American Literature for the 2024 2025 school year.  

Year 1- American Literature and Poetry I

Year 2- World Literature (emphasis on British literature).

Year 3- The Oral Tradition and Women Authors (available for the 2025 2026 school year)

Year 4- American Literature and Poetry II (available for the 2026 2027 school year)

Our live classes are completely optional and there is no RSVP required; just show up when you can.  Currently our live class schedule looks like THIS for the following school year, but is subject to change (firm dates will be set in July).

American Literature (choose from every other Wednesday at noon EST or Friday at 10 am EST)

World Literature (choose from every other Wednesday at 11 am EST or Friday at 9 am EST)
